I hate you all for having to choose winners from this contest.
I hate myself for running this contest and choosing myself to be the only judge.

Hahah - Congrats to all the winners, runner-ups, and honorable mentions!

I will send out emails to the winners regarding prizes, post extended journal features, and send out journal formatting to our prize donors all tomorrow.

I'm pooped.

FAQs

Q: How do you get so close to the animals?
A: Well, it depends on the photograph. Some are pets, which are easier of course. Others require the sheer luck and cooperation of well-designed zoo exhibits. I've also been volunteering at my local zoo for the last seven years. All that donated time comes with a few perks of being able to get closer to the animals than the general public.

Update: I now also work at this zoo as a full-time employee!

Q: What equipment do you use?
A: A list of equipment can be seen on my front page under 'Tools of the Trade' or here dsoden.daportfolio.com/about/

Q: Can I use your photos for stock?
A: No! I do apologize, but these are FINISHED photographs and NOT stock. They may not be used for photo-manipulations or private/commercial web design/blog usage without my expressed permission.

Q: Can I use your photos for references in original artwork?
A: Absolutely! I am thrilled to inspire original artwork. You may definitely use my photos as references, just please link me to them when they're done so I can see them :D

Q: Why can't I download your photos/Why are there watermarks on your photos?
A: Because they are mine, not yours. Sorry.

Thank you SO much for all of your support everyone!
It's truly an honor! You guys are awesome :D
